About Dialed
A free, open-source project for portable AI communication instructions.
Defaults you can inspect and change
Dialed is a free preference workshop for people who want more control over how AI explains, writes, and helps with work. Compare responses, adjust the defaults, and take readable instructions to a compatible host. Coding situations provide examples; the preferences also apply to writing, planning, and general explanations.
Start with the questions or an editable preset. Review your results, inspect the exact Skill text, and download Markdown, a Skill ZIP, portable JSON, or plain preferences text. There are no accounts, payments, ads, or premium profiles.

Answers and exports are processed in your browser without runtime AI calls. “Save on this device” is optional. You can remove saved data or use “Forget my answers” to reset your workshop. Portable exports leave out your raw answers and survey progress.
Installation is manual. Supplying preferences to an AI host shares them under that host’s data policies. Availability and activation depend on the host; your current request and the host’s constraints take precedence over defaults. Follow the installation guide for setup and removal.
The questions elicit preferences. They do not diagnose you or discover a scientifically proven learning style. Our research and methodology explains the evidence, scoring, and limitations.
Open source and portable
Dialed is the product name; exported Skills use the stable name ai-my-way. Code and original assessment, scoring rules, and templates use the MIT license. You may use, modify, and share them, including commercially, while retaining the copyright and license notice. They are provided without warranty.
The Skill ZIP includes the full license. Cited research belongs to its respective authors and publishers; Dialed’s MIT license does not relicense their papers or imply their endorsement.
